Training & Development for Adult Social Care
Practical, face-to-face training for adult social care providers, delivered by an experienced Registered Nurse and senior care leader.
Training can be delivered on-site for individual services or across wider organisations, with sessions tailored to the needs of the team. The focus is on practical application and giving people the confidence to use what they've learned in practice — not simply completing another training session and adding a certificate to the file.
Training Available
Training is designed for adult social care teams and can be delivered on-site for individual services or across wider organisations. Sessions combine current guidance and regulatory expectations with practical application, discussion and realistic care scenarios.
Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR & AED
Practical, face-to-face training covering adult Basic Life Support, CPR and the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Delivered by a Registered Nurse and Resuscitation Council UK BLS Instructor, with plenty of opportunity to practise the skills covered.
Falls Prevention, Post-Fall Management & Neurological Observations
Practical training covering falls prevention, immediate post-fall assessment, neurological observations, safe moving following a fall and appropriate escalation. The session focuses on recognising risk, responding safely and making sure learning from falls informs future care.
Care Planning & Person-Centred Care
Practical training on developing care plans that genuinely reflect the person, rather than simply completing sections of a system. Covers meaningful person-centred information, risk, choice, independence, review and making sure care records actually help staff provide consistent care.
Incident & Accident Reporting, Investigation & Learning
Practical training on effective incident and accident reporting, proportionate investigation and identifying learning rather than simply closing the record. Covers good-quality recording, immediate actions, escalation, contributory factors, follow-up and using incident themes to improve care and reduce recurrence
Mental Capacity Act & Best Interests Decision-Making
Practical application of the Mental Capacity Act in adult social care, including decision-specific capacity assessments, supporting people to make their own decisions, recording assessments clearly and using the best interests process appropriately.
Clinical Governance & Regulatory Assurance
Training for managers and senior teams on making clinical governance work in practice. Covers effective oversight, audit and assurance, identifying and managing risk, evidence of improvement and understanding what good governance looks like against CQC expectations.
Training tailored to your service
Not every team needs an off-the-shelf course. Training can be developed around identified risks, audit or inspection findings, changes in practice or areas where teams need additional support. Sessions can also be combined or adapted for managers, nurses and wider care teams.
